Kearfott is excited to be selected by the UK Ministry of Defence, among 11 organizations, to develop software systems for the PYRAMID program.

By adapting our existing FACE architecture to PRA (PYRAMID Reference Architecture) and integrating into Kearfott’s NxNAV EGI (Embedded GPS/INS) system, we are demonstrating a robust, GPS-independent solution.

This proof-of-concept highlights PRA’s viability as an open-architecture framework powered by Kearfott sensors and integration expertise.

KEARFOTT SENSORS FLY ON NEW CESSNA LONGITUDE

Pedal position sensors contribute to brake control system

BLACK MOUNTAIN, North Carolina (October 28, 2016) – Kearfott Corporation’s Pedal Position Sensor was onboard the first flight of the super-midsize Cessna Citation Longitude on Oct. 8.

Kearfott’s Pedal Position Sensor is part of the brake control system that Crane Aerospace & Electronics (Burbank, California) provides to Cessna Aircraft Company for its new Citation Longitude.  The sensor is a Kearfott dual channel linear variable differential transformer that measures brake pedal travel and is the primary input to the landing gear, setting left and right braking action.  There are four Kearfott Pedal Position Sensors on each Citation Longitude.

BLACK MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA (August 26, 2016) – Kearfott Corporation, Motion Systems Division has been awarded a $7.7M contract by the United States Army Redstone Arsenal for procuring overhaul and repair of the roll trim servo for the UH-60 BLACK HAWK helicopter.

BLACK HAWK helicopters have been in service with the United States Army since 1978 and are also used by the United States Navy. The UH-60 has a proven track record for dependability in extreme conditions.

“Kearfott has a long history of supporting the BLACK HAWK program, and we’re pleased to have this opportunity,” said Richard Wise, Repair and Overhaul Manager for the Motion Systems Division.

The estimated completion date for the contract is August 15, 2021 and is expected to impact an estimated 950 BLACK HAWK aircraft.
