Commodity Jurisdiction determination gives Kearfott T24 navigation-grade SeaNav ITAR-free status; makes obtaining export licenses faster and more affordable
WOODLAND PARK, NEW JERSEY – March 7, 2019 – Kearfott Corporation has received a final determination from the United States Department of State that its T24 SeaNav Inertial Navigation System is now subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) administered by the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and not the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) administered by the Department of State.
“Receiving this determination for the T24 SeaNav will allow us to really streamline our international sales process,” said Kearfott Product Line Manager for Sea Navigation Systems Andy Continisio. “Kearfott and our customers will now be able to obtain export licenses much more quickly while incurring less cost in connection with the application and compliance process.”
The SeaNav is an inertial navigation system for surface and subsea marine vehicles and platforms that provides accurate position, velocity, and attitude information in navigation, pointing, and stabilization applications.
T24 SeaNav offers the best form factor for autonomous underwater vehicles requiring navigation-grade performance; it has an established performance track record.
