Line-of-Sight Systems
Kearfott’s Line-of-Sight (LOS) systems have been proven on some of the harshest battlefields throughout the world and are the preferred stabilization solutions for both Main Battle Tank Cannons and rapid fire chain gun applications. Kearfott utilizes its proven CONEX® gyro technology, very low compliance structure, and advanced control algorithms to provide the best in class on-the-move sight stability to the turret gunner. Kearfott’s systems are in production on both the M1A2 Abrams Tank and the Littoral Combat Ship.

Modular Chain Gun Line-of-Sight Stabilization System
Kearfott’s Compact Modular Sight (CMS) Inertially Stabilized Line-of-Sight (LOS) System is a key element of the Fire Control System (FCS) presently being used on the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) and other turret applications.
The CMS provides turret reticle stabilization in the presence of harsh environments, improving situational awareness and keeping rounds on target. The CMS was designed to stabilize rapid fire weapons with minimal shot-to-shot walk-off of the sight reticle. The inertial stabilization mode is built on Kearfott’s proven CONEX® gyro technology and utilizes advanced control algorithms to maximize sight stability.

Main Battle Tank Line-of-Sight Stabilization System
The Dual-Axis Head Assembly (DAHA) Line-Of-Sight (LOS) Stabilization System, presently in full scale production, is a key element of the Fire Control System (FCS) presently being used on Main Battle Tanks and other fighting vehicles.
The DAHA provides turret reticle stabilization in the presence of harsh environments, improving situational awareness and keeping rounds on target. Applications include any vehicle requiring stabilized guns and sights. The system provides improved image acquisition and target tracking in harsh battlefield environments and is operated with either PCIe or VME control electronics.
