LVDT
Kearfott’s Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDTs) are time tested for more than 50 years for a range of aerospace, military, and other high reliability/harsh environment applications. LVDT position sensors are most commonly used in control surface position applications, pilot controls, and on-engine feedback. Options are available to supply hermetically sealed units for use in fluid and hydraulic applications.

Single Channel
Kearfott’s single channel LVDT offers position feedback for many commercial and military aircraft systems. With a high accuracy linear position sensor, these LVDTs are compatible with a range of mounting configurations.
- Wide mechanical compatibility
- Range of mounting configurations available
- Built by highly-skilled team of engineers
- Accuracies typically 1% full-scale, 0.5% about null
- Long life devices
- High accuracy in extreme environments
Multi-Channel
Kearfott’s multi-channel LVDT’s offer redundancy in case of a sensor break or failure. This type of system design is often used with military fly-by-wire aircraft.
- Dual, Triple, or Quad Redundant Assemblies
- Controlled channel-to-channel tracking accuracy
- Hermetic or Environmentally Sealed Options
- Vertical integration allows for smaller product sizes
- High reliability
